First Baptist Academy’s Katie Beam and Austin Flynn both racked up another first-place finish at Saturday’s MIA Rays Invitational, held at Marco Island’s Mackle Park.

Beam was victorious for the third consecutive race as she and her FBA teammates outran Community School of Naples for the girls title. Ella Flynn, Kate Urbancic and Juliette Lane also earned medals for the Lions with top-15 finishes.

Flynn claimed his second straight boys title as the FBA boys finished second overall behind host Marco Island Academy. Four other FBA boys — Isaac Fischer, Hunter Beam, Braxton Eisel and Calvin O’Dell — finished in the top 15.

Community School’s girls were led by juniors Grace O’Malley (third place), Maria O’Malley (fifth) and Loren Brown (ninth). Freshmen Emma Smith and Emily Buffington round out the Seahawks’ top five.

The CSN boys — led by seniors Mike Binkowski (ninth place) and Jamison McAdams (12th) — took third place. With two regular-season meets left on the schedule, the Seahawks are trying to determine their top seven runners.

First Baptist and Community School are both in the field for Friday’s Celtic Invitational at Golden Gate Community Park.
