Laurel Oak claims First Tee of Elementary School Golf Championship; Lake Park girl aces hole

Laurel Oak Elementary School posted a 154 to win the 10-team First Tee of Elementary School Golf Championship at Lakewood Country Club of Naples on Saturday. A total of 101 players took part in the competition.

Lake Park Elementary’s Lily Reiter recorded a hole-in-one on the seventh hole, helping her earn first-place individual honors in the girls Gold Division. She shot a 31 and was followed by Sea Gate’s Makayla Cain (35) and Laurel Oak’s Lee Frecker (39).

Pelican Marsh Elementary’s Jack Zejda posted the top boys score with a 30. He was followed by Sea Gate’s Ian Psota (33) and Veterans Memorial’s Kaiden Thompson (35).

Sea Gate posted a team score of 160 to finish as runner-up in the Gold Division. Pelican Marsh took third place with a 171.

In the Silver Division, Mason Classical Academy posted a 196 to earn a one-shot victory over Osceola Elementary. Laurel Oak’s Oak Team finished third with a 225.

Osceola’s Melina Parris shot a 42 to finish first in the girls Silver Division. She was followed by Mason Classical’s Georgina Becker (49) and Osceola’s Emma Lockhart (50).

Laurel Oak’s Hudson Beaudet was the top boys finisher in the Silver Division with a 44. He was followed by two Mason Classical participants, Chase Mazzola (44) and Dominic Manfield (49).

The Life Skills Cup went to Seacrest Country Day School.
